Conyers Presbyterian Preschool is excited about our new Discovery class, inspired by the Reggio Emilia concept. A Reggio Emilia concept is based on providing children with a learning environment adapted to their needs. Also, stepping back and allowing children to be surrounded by a natural environment of beauty and reflection of all God’s creations.

Some of the main types of exposure offered is, critical thinking, exploring with all senses, painting with all types of mediums, self expression about nature, and explanation about their creativity through their eyes. Discovery is based on structured curriculum. Topics are introduced and then further exploration is directed by the students. Allowing them to express their interst inspires students to expand their basic knowledge of a subject.

Each child visits our Discovery class once a week outside their regular classroom.  Bringing nature into the classroom, and exploring God's outdoor classroom, reinforces the concept that God has truly created an extrodinary environment to treasure and respect.
